Jaana Laakkonen is an artist born in 1985 in Joensuu, Finland, currently living and working in Helsinki. Solo exhibition in Oksasenkatu 11 continues (t)he(i)r recent years' artistic practice with paint, text, feminist posthumanism and the everyday. Lately, she has worked with a sofa who intruded her respiratory system, thoughts and practice. In 2022 Jaana's works can be encountered for example in K17 Space for Art and Ecology in Sipoo (FI) and in Cincinnati CAC (US). The practice that led to this exhibition was kindly funded by The Finnish Cultural Foundation's Uusimaa Regional Fund.
