TITTYLOGY
November 7—30, 2025
Open Tue—Sun 1—6 PM
Opening on Thursday 6 November at 7—8 PM
The Tittylogy exhibition explores the position of women and the accepted ways of being physically visible in a society where women’s breasts remain a taboo in many ways. Body positivity and diversity take strong root in the exhibition, with touches of research-based data woven throughout.
The show dismantles unrealistic beauty ideals and normalizes different kinds of breasts. The artist’s interest in the subject stems from her grandmothers’ and sister’s experiences with breast cancer, as well as her passion for women’s equality. This polyphonic and multidisciplinary exhibition includes ceramics, drawings, and installations.
Pinja Meretoja is an illustrator, comics artist, and author. Her graphic novel, Tittylogy – A Nonfiction work on the meanings, myths, burdens, and liberation of breasts, deepens the themes explored in the exhibition.
